Title: Good News from Halifax CPC Convention
Good News from Halifax !!
Motion submitted to the CPC Convention last weekend:
"A Conservative Government will not deprive Canadian Citizens of legally owned firearms. A Conservative government will ensure that lawful licensed firearms owners do not lose their firearms or face criminal charges over simple administrative infractions, such failing to renew their license within the
renewal period or possession of a time-expired license."
Delegates at the CPC Convention in Halifax this past weekend soundly rejected this poorly conceived motion.
The good news is that the Conservative Party Policy of Firearms remains:
"Firearms A Conservative Government will ... work with the provinces and territories on cost-effective gun control programs designed to keep guns out of the hands of criminals while respecting the rights of law-abiding Canadians to own and use firearms responsibly ... ."
