Hon. Vic Toews Minister of Public Safety,
Bill C-19, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and the Firearms Act.

First and foremost, all individuals will still be required to be licensed to possess a firearm. We are committed to ensuring that only responsible and qualified individuals own firearms.
