The Right Honourable Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada
House of Commons
Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0A6
Dear Mr. Harper,

Re: Enforce the Firearms Act or Repeal It.

I regret having to take a page from Saskatoon author Yann Martel's playbook(1), but I have not had a response from you concerning my "Direct Challenge; Enforce the Firearms Act". Therefore I begin this year's Canada Day celebration by sending you this first monthly reminder that as a responsible firearms owner I am in open, willful non-compliance of the Firearms Act.

As I have clearly stated in my previous letters(2) and my affidavit(3), I own a Cooey .22 rifle; that I knowingly possess my rifle without a licence in direct violation of Criminal Code section 92(1):
every person commits an offence who possesses a firearm knowing that the person is not the holder of
                        (a) a licence under which the person may possess it;”

Mr. Harper, I will never submit to this unjust law that requires that I surrender my Right to self-protection. Therefore, you have only two choices:
fulfill your duty and have me charged and tried in court,
keep your promise to responsible firearms owners and repeal the Firearms Act.(4)
