Dear Ms. Block ,
Re: Edward B. Hudson v. Her Majesty the Queen
As the enclosed Hearing Notice from the Registrar for the Court of Appeal indicates, I will be in Court at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, 15 September 2011 at 520 Spadina Crescent East, Saskatoon, to present my Constitutional argument against one small part of the Firearms Act.
I do not know what date you will be returning to Ottawa, but if you are still in Saskatoon this would be an excellent opportunity for you to gain a better understanding of why I am so vehemently opposed to the Liberals’ 1995 Firearms Act.
Not only does the licencing mandate of this unjust Act destroy our Right to ‘have Armes for their Defense’, the Firearms Act also gives the police the authority to seize, confiscate, and destroy our personal property without benefit of either criminal charge, trial, or conviction. That is the sole issue I will be contesting at the Court of Appeal next month.
I will be ‘self-represented’, but as this will be my third appearance before the Court of Appeal on related Firearms Act issues, my argument will be a bit more concise than some of my previous appearances in court. Unfortunately my case is listed second for that date, so I cannot say that we will be starting promptly at 10 a.m. – more likely my case will not be heard until noon.
I will certainly understand that you may not have a morning to invest
in Court, but if you suffer from insomnia my “Legal Argument for
a Right to Trial” is available on-line:
I hope that document will help you appreciate why I will never submit to this unjust law.
